I’m sitting in Starbucks trying to study, once again, and my mind wanders. There are several people behind computers. I’m sure they have some important title or are chasing after a certain salary. But I wonder if they are doing what they feel called to do.
We’ve all been told to chase the money, the title, the fame. Society loves to make people crave popularity. But what if you have been called to something bigger?
The questions: What do I want to have? What do I want to be? Does this get me closer to my goal? Does this get me closer to what I want to learn?
Why do you get up? Why do you go to work? Why do you do what you do? What is your why?
You have been given a gift, no exception. You may not know it, but dig it out and find what’s inside. Find your purpose. We are the answer to a hurting world. You have been called by a higher power to bring healing and change to your community. Bring healing and change to your life and the lives around you.
Write, volunteer, show interest in anything. You have been given a purpose and you have a passion. Search it out and use that to guide your life.
“The ego is only an illusion, but a very influential one. Letting the ego-illusion become your identity can prevent you from knowing your true self.
Ego, the false idea of believing that you are what you have or what you do, is a backwards way of assessing and living life.”
Happy Tuesday, y’all!
Take home to mom: You have been given a gift. Find it. Use it for the greater good.
